School of Computer Science and Information Systems

The School of Computer Science and Information Systems offers majors, minors and graduate programs in computer science, business education, information systems, cybersecurity, data analytics and digital media. 

Northwest has demonstrated that it engages in significant community involvement, academic activities, and institutional practices in cybersecurity and has a B.S. in Cybersecurity that meets the requirements for a program of study. The NCAE-C program aims to promote and support quality academic programs of higher learning that help produce the nation’s cyber workforce. The Center for Cybersecurity functions as a central hub for the Cybersecurity major and related programs offering student support, state-of-the-art equipment and a home for students studying in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems.

Donor support assists with student scholarships and provides equipment for the Internet of Things class, student research support, cyber defense club competitions, programming competitions, equipment or software for classes, and maker space equipment and supplies.

Michael and Kenna Johnson Happy Hour Challenge
Between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, all donations will be matched (up to $1000)! During this hour, any donation made will be doubled by Michael '85 and Kenna '84, '87 Johnson to the fund of your choosing. Michael is the Vice President of University Advancement at Northwest, and Kenna served as an Academic Advisor before her retirement.
