"When donors support students in education, they are making an even more significant contribution because education majors face licensure examinations (which can be quite costly) and clinical experiences (travel to and from schools to practice their craft). It just costs more to prepare to be a teacher than other fields, which is unfortunate given disparities in starting teacher salaries compared to other professions. Gifts to support the School of Education students are therefore more impactful. Your gift helps students defray loan debt, it helps afford the professional wardrobe needed to be in schools, and helps offset travel and testing costs."
