Department of Language, Literature and Writing

Gifts to Language, Literature and Writing help the department in a number of ways. Department Chair Robin Gallaher has provided examples of initiatives your gift will help support:

  • Increased funding for existing scholarships
  • Establish and provide travel grants for students to attend professional conferences and events
  • Fund our annual Day of Writing event to support student writers and our Writing Center student personnel
  • Provide software and other materials to support the professional development of our Green Tower Press student personnel
  • Fund field trips to events such as plays and literary readings or to areas of particular historical or literary significance
  • Establish and provide a study abroad scholarship
  • Establish and provide an internship scholarship
